“There has come to you from Allah a Light…”

(Surah Al-Ma’idah, 15)

Bismillah-ir Rahman-ir Raheem

In Surah Al-An’am (159), Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) says:  “Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects – you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do.”

In this ayah (verse of the Qur’an), Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) describes those who make groups and further divide them into supporters of one group or another, and to this Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) said to The Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) that He has nothing to do with them.  So as far as you are creating division, you are a part of something that Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) told The Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) to avoid!

Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) mentions in another ayah (Surah Al-Anfal, 46) that we should not fight against one another, and He said that we would fail if we did so, and no one would win, and the result would be that our adversaries would never respect us.  This is what is happening with the Ummah (community) right now!  If you were to make a list of every vying group, you would tire yourself, and expend your day and night and all your resources, and yet you would not be able to number the groups that exist!

All that we believe, want and live for is to be with The Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him), and anyone who is related to The Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him), in one way or another, is someone we love, regardless of their opinions or views.

At the end of the day, we are not here to change people, because such change only resides in the Power and Will of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala); instead, our duty is to taste this Nur, enjoy this Nur, and to wish that the Nur and khair (blessings) touch every being on this earth!

If we were to have love and respect for The Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him), everything would join us in this Nur and love – Everything!

Once, upon encountering a wolf, a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the wolf that he and his fellow companions were the messengers of the Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), to which the wolf responded by refraining to harm them.

This Companion saw and experienced the Nur, and so when he encountered the wolf, he did not see an animal, but rather he knew for certain that every single being can be connected to this Nur!

May we all be connected to The Nur, in the now and forever!

Allahumma salli alaa Nur
